City of Cyclists
Copenhagen is the cyclist capital of the world. More than 30 percent of the Copenhageners take the bike every day, which is partly what makes Copenhagen a unique city for cyclists. The other part is the many local producers with proud traditions in design and hand crafts. On this trip we celebrate these magicians and visit some of the shops. Additionally, we also visit some of the many initiatives the City Council has initiated to promote bicycling even more.
This is the tour for any one who shares our passion for bicycles and design, or just want to visit places that are normally closed to the public. Join this tour and be a part of the City of Cyclists for a few hours. A lot of enthusiast and designers are looking forward to meet you and give you a glimpse of the Danish bicycle culture.
Cycling Copenhagen keeps the tours very informal and rides only in smaller groups, so there is plenty of time to ask questions about the sights, places or people that we pass, or any other questions that may pop up. The tour starts in the café a our meeting point with a small introduction to our bicycles and a brief introduction to the many unwritten rules of the bike lane. Don’t worry, Danes are friendly and used to a lot of new cyclists in the streets.
Highlights – stops may vary, but expect to meet many interesting aspects of the bicycle culture in Copenhagen.
